Do you know Him?

Let me introduce you to my friend, my comforter, my guard and guide, my gift from God. His name is Holy Spirit; also goes by Holy Ghost. If you don’t already know Him, I need you to – He’s truly a friend in need and indeed.
I met Holy Spirit when I got born again. Now don’t be like Nicodemus who asked Lord Jesus “How can a man be born again when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?”
(John 3:4 KJV)
Jesus’s answer explains how Holy Spirit works; that is, how He moves in our lives. Hear Jesus’s response:
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”
(John 3:5-8 KJV)
Because of my friendship with Holy Spirit, I now have His spirit. He’s also given me power and has blessed me with His fruits of “love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance ….” I have more; an abundance, of some of His fruits, while some though have left the infancy stages are still lacking His abundance. Holy Spirit nonetheless does not give up on me. He loves me just the same and nudges me every now and then. We’re working on those fruits together.
His spirit is in me, but at times He takes over, and falls on me, for special assignments. I only have to yield and get out of His way for such times.
6 Benefits of my friend, Holy Spirit:
- He teaches me all things; what to say, do, how to, and what to eat sometimes!
- He brings things to my remembrance
- He guides me into all truths
- He shows me things to come
- He quickens me
- He leads me.
. . .
I invite you into our friendship, too, to enjoy all the benefits that comes with knowing Him. Will you accept the invite? If yes, just tell Him that you desire His friendship.
I love my friend, Holy Spirit. I know He loves me, too, and unconditionally.
