Happy New Year 2022 to everyone. I can’t believe that we are already a week into the New Year. I hope that this is the Year we’ve all been awaiting; a Year that all stored-up blessings will locate us and our families.
Here’s also hoping that your Year started well and free from covid/Omicron. Even if it didn’t, we still have over three hundred days to rectify it. Please remember that getting vaxxed and boosted makes a lot of difference and life much more bearable. Please get vaxxed if you haven’t already. Also get boosted. Be your healthiest best in 2022.
New Year, New You, New Thoughts
I don’t know if people still make New Year resolutions any more. But whatever, you have resolved to do or change this Year, I hope that you achieve it.
Resolutions or not, I particularly hope that you will change your mindset and thinking patterns.
“As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:6).
James Allen wrote a self-help book on the title; As a man thinketh. We are the product of our thoughts; whether those thoughts are negative or positive. If you think you can’t, guess what, you won’t. And vice versa.
James Allen “shows how each man holds the key to every condition, good or bad, that enters into his life, and that, by working patiently and intelligently upon his thoughts, he may remake his life, and transform his circumstances.” (Wikipedia)
Pastor Joel Osteen agrees and says that:
- You can’t play defeat in your mind and have victory
- You can’t think lack and have abundance
- You can’t think sickness and have health
No-one can make you think something; only you get to choose what you dwell on. Be intentional to choose positive thoughts.
If you don’t take control of your thought life, the negative will take it over and control your life.
I therefore beseech you, to think positive thoughts this Year, move in the direction of those thoughts, so that your life can align likewise.
I hope that you will:
Think yourself happy
Think yourself joyful
Think yourself as an overcomer
Think yourself blessed
Think yourself overflowing with goodness
Think yourself successful, relatable, and relational
Think yourself wise
Think all good and pure thoughts
And watch how it all flows to you.
How do I do that?
If you’re one prone to negative thoughts, once those thoughts start in your mind/head, please don’t entertain them. Know that you have the willpower to instantly negate the thoughts. For example, if you are one who constantly thinks “no one loves me,”. Stop. Counter the negative thoughts with something like “I am loved by God,”. “My Dad loves me,”. “My sister loves me …”. By the time you list all your family members, friends, neighbors, you will realize that the thought disappears and was a lie. Do likewise for every other negative thought that comes your way; intentionally replacing them with positive thoughts.
I am confident that the more positively you think, the lesser and weaker the negative thoughts become.
I wish you the Very Best of the Year.
